One of the best innuendo filled sports, and here’s proof. Please note: “leg over” means sexual relations, in British slang. I guess it’s not really that funny without knowing that..

July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Well I wasn’t pointing out a grammatical mistake you made, although they exist, I was pointing out that you got the batsman’s name wrong.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Well, if we want to be really pedantic, Alan has missed out some apostrophes. Do I win the title of “Most Pedantic Pedant”?
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Now, now “BigFoot” don’t get tetchy simply because you were pointed out as having got your bowler and batsman mixed up, there’s no need to be pedantic. I was correcting you to inform you as to your mistake, don’t bring grammatical inaccuracies into this, purely because you don’t wish to come off looking foolish.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Well if you want to be pedantic, it should be:
“The bowlers Holding, the batsmans Willey”.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm

It’s Aggers [Jonathan Agnew], not Angus!
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
It’s hotly disuputed whether he ever actually said that. There are no known recordings of such an utterance and Johnston’s son has claimed it is an urban myth. Henry Blofeld is adamant though that it did happen, so who knows?

Awh how i remember the teas with nostalgia, nothing worst than turning up at an away ground and being presented with a sub- par tea.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:38 pm
