it annoys me when swimmers do that… just swim in an event they are the 2nd best in the world at and then don’t swim at the olympics they just wanna swim in the relay annoying… maybe he wants to focus on an event he will win and get an individual gold medal at beijing in? im australian and i still reckon it would have been nice to see a phelps lochte 1 & 2 in this event… (coz they are like the two best male swimmers in the world!) ah well they will get it in the 400 IM

The one with Lochte was held in the morning trials and there’s no footage of that, or that I can find.
